The line, published in advance
Most services in this industry are deliberately vague about what they actually sell. Here is exactly what we do, exactly what we refuse, and the law in each country we serve — so you can decide before you spend anything.
Short answer
Is it illegal to use an assignment help service?
No — using tutoring, proofreading or referencing support is legal everywhere and offered by universities themselves. What is illegal is providing contract cheating services: a criminal offence under the TEQSA Act 2011 s.126B in Australia, the Education and Training Act 2020 s.292A in New Zealand, and the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 s.71 in England. In Canada and the US it is not criminalised nationally but is serious academic misconduct with expulsion available as a penalty. Buying assessed work exposes you to academic penalty in all five countries.
What we will do
- Explain what an assignment question is actually asking and how its rubric allocates marks
- Teach the structure, method or framework the task requires
- Produce clearly-labelled model answers on a topic that is not your assessed one
- Give written feedback on a draft you wrote, mapped to your marking criteria
- Proofread for grammar, punctuation, consistency and formatting within your institution's proofreading policy
- Check and correct referencing, and explain the errors so you stop repeating them
- Help you find, read and appraise credible sources
- Prepare you for a viva, presentation or exam
What we will not do
- Write any part of an assignment you intend to submit as your own work
- Sell you a completed essay, dissertation, report or code submission
- Sit an exam, test or online assessment on your behalf
- Log in to your student portal, LMS or email under your credentials
- Rewrite your content so extensively that the submitted argument is ours rather than yours
- Help you evade Turnitin, MOSS, or any similarity or proctoring system
- Ghostwrite a personal statement, reflective piece or admissions essay presented as yours
- Provide work anonymously in a way designed to conceal that a service was involved

Providing or advertising a service that completes assessment for an Australian student is illegal. Everything we do is tutoring, feedback and study resources — never work submitted as your own.
United Kingdom

Since 2022 it is a criminal offence in England to provide or arrange contract cheating services. We operate on the legal side of that line: teaching, structure, exemplars and proofreading.
New Zealand

Canada has no criminal essay-mill statute yet, but every university treats contract cheating as serious academic misconduct with expulsion on the table. We keep you on the right side of your school's policy.

US honor codes are enforced hard, and 17 states have statutes against selling academic work. Our tutoring model keeps you compliant with your institution's honor code.
Frequently asked questions
- Why do you publish this at all?
- Because the boundary is the product. A service that will write your assignment is selling you a criminal offence in three of our five markets and an expulsion risk in the other two. Publishing exactly where we stop is how you can tell the difference between us and them before you pay anything.
- What happens if I ask for something on the 'will not' list?
- We decline, explain which line it crosses, and offer the closest legitimate alternative. We do not report you to your institution, and we do not lecture — but we also do not quietly do it for a higher price.
- Is a model answer allowed?
- Yes, when it is on a different topic from your assessment and clearly labelled as an exemplar. Model answers are standard pedagogical practice — universities publish them. What is not allowed is a 'model answer' that happens to be your exact assignment question.
- Does my university know I used a tutoring service?
- There is nothing to disclose for ordinary tutoring, proofreading or referencing help — these are the same services university writing centres provide. If your institution's policy requires disclosure of external proofreading, follow it; we will tell you if we think a request falls into that category.
- What about AI tools?
- Policies have changed fast and vary widely. Many institutions now require disclosure of any generative AI use and some prohibit it for assessed writing entirely. Check your own policy before using AI at all, and never assume last year's rules still apply.
